On the palate it has an extremely rich, round feel, exhibiting flavours of berries and chocolate. Apparent, well-structured tannins. Quite spicy on the palate with a persistent aftertaste. 
It can be paired with grilled beef with pepper sauce or plain. Perfectly matches bbq smoked notes. It has pride of place next to a veal casserole, but successfully also woos an over 70% cocoa chocolate…
